Overview;

After long discussions and different governing bodies FIM and WESS had agreed on a World Hard Enduro Championship ahead of 2021 Season. The season had its toll from the covid restrictions and it did not executed as it was announced in the first place. First Erzbergrodeo got cancelled and than we witnessed a chaotic season premier in Portugal. Extreme Lagares’s main event got cancelled on the very last minute and the governing body had nothing to do but to drop the event as a point gaining round.

Nevertheless the season went on and we had a crazy season finale at the GetzenRodeo. Billy Bolt and Manuel Lettenbichler finished the season with the exact same points but Billy edged Mani with more better positions on the podium.

2022 Season has provisionally announced as a 9-Round series but in early February it was confirmed as an 8-Round challenge. Hero Challenge, Poland, got dropped off it. 3 races will make their FIM WHEC debut this season and they are Minus 400 Desert Exreme – Israel, Xross – Serbia and Red Bull Outliers – Canada.

All eyes will be on Billy Bolt as he will embrace a title defense this season. His closest rival from last season Manuel Lettenbichler will not be racing the season opener due to still continuing knee injury recovery. He commented on his condition that he will soon be back on the bike and hope to see himself fit to race Round 2.

Graham Jarvis on the other hand had a long recovery and rehab period after the unfortunate injury which forced him out of Romaniacs 2021 on day 2. The brit also left the factory team and now racing as the leader of his own team, Jarvis Racing.

Jonny Walker and Taddy Blazusiak were the victims of FIM Super Enduro Season finale in Germany and the duo will be among who is missing Minus 400. Here is what Jonny had to say about his condition;

3 Junior Class Introduction & Calendar

FIM announced that they agreed on a Junior Class into the World Hard Enduro Championship. Riders that are under 22, as of January 1st 2022, can compete the class throughout the season.

To make it more affordable to the mostly privateer competitor group they will only need to race the European challenges except Romaniacs. Xross, Erzbergrodeo, Abestone and Hixpania are the four rounds that Junior Class competitors will be qualified to chase their title.

This will provide a great deal of motivation by chasing the potential podium appearances among their level of riders.
