The day started in the heart of the Taurus mountains under a shiny weather. Day 2 was a 43 KM single track and the fastest rider covered it in 01:25:43.
Wade Young had an amazing day and claimed his second victory of the race. It was Graham Jarvis who finished with P2 and Mario Roman with P3.
Sea to Sky 2019’s podium fight is a predictable thing for most of them and we saw the same battle in 2017. Wade had won that years’ Forest Race even with a bad starting position and he led the pack all the way up to finish line on Day 3 Mountain Race. There was only 500 meters or so Graham Jarvis caught the Sherco riders and passed them. Wade lost the title and the P2 in just a short distance before the finish line. 2018 was a different story and Graham didn’t show up. In his absence Wade got the trophy.
Day 3 Canyon Race will start at 09:00am. It is a 35 km single track with a lot of technical canyon sectors in it.
